You Are The Father

There was a popular television show that was known for reading DNA test results to determine who was the biological father of a child. Eight out of ten times, it was found that the man was usually the child’s biological father. That said, if we have accepted Jesus as our personal Savior, our spiritual DNA declares unequivocally, without a shadow of a doubt that 100%, GOD IS OUR FATHER!

He is “THE FATHER:” the Living and Faithful Father, the Loving and Gracious Father, the Forgiving and Merciful Father, and the Saving and Glorious Father. If we accept His Son, He will never deny us. He’ll never shake His responsibility. He is reliable all the time. We can depend on Him. I imagine the heavenly host shouting today and everyday, “GOD, YOU ARE THE FATHER!”

“To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen” Philippians 4:20, ESV.

“One God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” Ephesians 4:6, ESV.

“As a father shows compassion to his children, so the LORD shows compassion to those who fear him.” Psalms 103:13,ESV.

Please pray with me: Dear God, I will keep on thanking You for being my heavenly Father in Jesus name amen.  By Hertistine Washington.  keeponthanking.com

Happy Father’s Day, and may the blessings of the Lord be with you always!

Bless His Name

20170315_165759“O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise be heard” (Psalm 66:1 KJV). While sitting outside looking at the beautiful flowers, I was thinking how wonderful it would be if the world, in unity, would pause and bless God’s name for His love and the beauty He brings. Then suddenly another thought entered my spirit, “well then, you bless my name just the same.” So as the Spirit moved in me, this is what came to be:

Lord, I bless your name. You are God. You’re always the same. You won’t confuse me. You will never misuse me. I bless your name for the way you move me.

Lord, I bless your name in sunshine and rain. I bless Your name for the beauty you bring. You are Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending. I bless your name for the love you are sending. I bless your name for always giving. You are God, my zest for living. I bless your name.

“Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.” Psalm 134:2 KJV

Weapons of Spiritual Warfare

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:” 2 Corinthians 10:3 Soldiers must be prepared for war everyday. It’s imperative they use and have the right weapons, or they themselves might be killed. Although we may not be in the physical army, we are soldiers enlisted in God’s army. We too have “weapons,” spiritual weapons: God’s Word, prayer, and the spirit of gratitude.

God’s Word is the ultimate weapon. Use it and gain faith and strength to fight another day. Surely it will cut the enemy down and protect us all around.

Prayer is another mighty weapon. It is used against weaknesses (particularly our own weaknesses). It’s dangerous fainting when the battle is on. Prayer will keep us strong.

Gratitude is also a beneficial weapon. This spiritual warfare weapon is most effective in “elevating our mind” during war time. It proves good for the soul. I dare you to thank God for shielding you during the enemy’s attacks; for helping you to dodge his darts, and for covering your back; for providing trenches to hide until danger has passed or subsided. Last but not least, thanking Him no weapon the enemy has formed against you will proper.

“(For the weapons of our warfare is not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holes;)” 2 Corinthians 10:4 KJV

“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgement shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.” Isaiah 54″17 KJV

Invisible Company

20170418_121644

I’m here in the wind. I’m here in the breeze. I’m here in the traffic, in spite of the racket.

I’m here in the trees. I’m here in the flowers; in the insects, even the honey bees.

I’m here on the mountain, in the clouds too; in your father, mother, sister brother, and you too.

I’m all around, up and down, over, under and all about; not hard to find, no need to shout.

I’m  closer than your heart beat, and your warm breath. I’m the “One” guiding your feet and your every step.

Stop. Look. Listen… Listen…. Listen…. It is I, your heavenly Father, your teacher, your invisible company keeper.

“Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there; if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.” Psalm 139:7-10 KJV

A Glimpse of Glory

praying-hands-clip-art-1.jpg.cf

Early this morning  as I bowed and prayed, I saw God’s radiant sun shining through my window. It rushed in like a beam of light, only staying for a moment; as quickly as it appeared the clouds covered it. In my mind I thought, ‘thank you Lord, for saying “hello” with your shinning light.’ I felt blessed to see a glimpse of His glory that shone so bright.

“His splendor was like the sunrise; rays flashed from his hand, where his power was hidden. Habakkuk 3:4  NIV

“Praise be to his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory.  Amen and Amen.”   Psalm 72:19 NIV
