To Remember Jesus

“When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the Scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken” (John 2:22 ESV). Father God, I thank You for what You went through that we might have life eternal, life anew. We remember You. Before dying the death of the cross, You endured many things for us who were lost.

Thank You for suffering humiliation and degradation from a sinful, crooked, and rebellious nation. You were ridiculed and accused, lied on and spied on, spat on and ratted on, betrayed, but not dismayed; never saying a mumbling word which no one can say they heard.

Your hands and your feet were nailed to the cross for all to see, and hopefully one day to seek. You were whipped and given vinegar to sip; You were pierced in the side as the crowd stood by; some mocked, others cried and sighed. Yet, for all men you still died. Knowing that You had a job to do and that You were the only One worthy and qualified to see it through, we remember You.

You were buried in a borrowed tomb. Not to stay there, but to rise early that Sunday morning before noon! In three days, as You said, You were RAISED from the dead! Therefore, we shout Halleluyah to the King of kings and Lord of lords, for the joy and Salvation You did bring! Jesus, we remember You.

“Which he will display at the proper time, he is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords” (1Timothy 6:15 ESV).

I will keep on thanking God for all He has done in providing for my salvation. Dear Lord, thank you for the mind to remember and share what You did from the foundation of the world, from the cradle to the cross, and by Your resurrection to save the lost, in Your name we pray, amen. Thankful, God is the Everlasting, Exalted, and Excellent God.

As we continue on our journey in thanking God for who He is from A to Z, let’s see what Gratitude Gold Nuggets we can find beginning with letter E. Thankful we don’t have to look far; we can find them in His Word.

“Your throne is established from old; you are from everlasting” (Psalm 93:2 ESV).

“Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” (Psalm 46:10 ESV).

“This also comes from the LORD of hosts; he is wonderful in counsel and excellent in wisdom” (Isaiah 28:29 ESV).

I hope you will pray this prayer with me: Dear Lord, I will keep on thanking You for being the Everlasting, Exalted, and Excellent God. You always was and always will be. You are exalted, oh Lord, and is excellent in counsel and wisdom in Jesus name, amen. By Hertistine Washington/

Thankful, God is the Deliverer, Director, and our Dwelling Place.

Oh, Lord God how we thank you! You are truly amazing! We thank you for delivering us out of darkness into your marvelous light, for directing our steps, and for being the secure place to dwell in times like these.

“He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son” (Colossians 1:13 ESV).

“May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ” (2 Thessalonians 3 :5).

“Lord, you have been our dwelling place in all generations” (Psalm 90:1).

I hope you will pray this prayer with me: Dear Lord, I will keep on thanking You for being my Deliverer, Director, and Dwelling Place, in Jesus name, amen. By Hertistine Washington/

Thankful, God is the Caregiver, Carrier, and Comforter.

As we continue in thanking and praising God from A to Z, let’s see what attributes of God that begins with letter C. Although there are many, three of them I find that is so significant for this day and time is that God has been and still is the Caregiver, Carrier, and Comforter. Definitely He’s the one who cares for us unconditionally, needs no help in carrying us from birth to old age, and has promised to comfort us as His children always. That’s just the kind of God He is. We are grateful.

“Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7 ESV).

“Even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save’ (Isaiah 46:4 ESV).

“I, I am he who comforts you; who are you that you are afraid of man who dies, of the son of man who is made like grass” (Isaiah 51:12 ESV). “As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; you shall be comforted in Jerusalem” (Isaiah 66:13 ESV).

I will keep on thanking God for His daily care, for sustaining me, and providing His comfort. I hope you will join me in this little prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for being my Caregiver, Carrier, and Comforter in Jesus name, amen. By Hertistine Washington/

Thankful, God is the Blesser, Beautifier, and Boundary Setter.

Aren’t we grateful that God is the one who blesses us, beautifies us and His creation, and set the boundaries for man and all things? No one is so wise, skilled, and powerful as our God! We give Him praise!

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly palaces,” (Ephesians 1:3 ESV).

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done form the beginning to the end” (Ecclesiastes 3:11 ESV).

“Do you not fear me? declares the Lord. Do you not tremble before me? I placed the sand as the boundary for the sea, a perpetual barrier that it cannot pass; though the waves toss, they cannot prevail; though they roar, they cannot pass over it” ( Jeremiah 5:22)

I will keep on thanking God for being the one who blesses me, allowing me to experience the beauty that lies in Him, and for setting limits I cannot cross. By Hertistine Washington/

We Need One Another

“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing” (1 Thessalonians 5:11 ESV). I know this is a simple phrase, but it is so true, we need one another. Never think you don’t need others. If this Pandemic has taught us anything (and it has taught us so much), it is that we need each other. We cannot make it by ourselves. Life is better together; you help me and I help you. That’s why we write and speak words of encouragement, and share our blessings with one another.

We are blessed to reach out as others have reached out to us. Let us thank God for those helping hands. But just as importantly, thank God that we can give a helping hand. Thank Him for letting us know that He puts us here for each other to help each other, inspire one another, encourage and motivate one another in the love of God. We are not alone. So this I say, my brothers and sisters, whatever you’re going through you are not by yourself. Some how, some way, our God will always provides help in time of need.

“If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together” (I Corinthians 12:26 ESV).

“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,” (Hebrew 10:24 ESV).

“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus’ (Philippians 4:19 ESV).

I will keep on thanking God for providing His support through others. Dear Lord, thank You for all that you do to show us how much we need You and each other in Jesus name, amen. By Hertistine Washington/

Thanking God, He is The Alpha and Omega, The Almighty, All-Sufficient God.

Beginning this month of March, I’m inviting you to join me every Monday morning in thanking God for who He is, from A to Z.

When I think about who God is and what we have in Him, I cant help but rejoice! I love thanking Him for who He is; for there is none like Him. No one can be compared to Him. No one can do what He does; no one, no not one. He is the one and only true and Living God, who is and who was and who is to come.

When I think about God as the Alpha and Omega, I’m assured He has everything covered from the beginning to the end; I have no need to worry. When I look to Him as the Almighty, I know He’s strong enough to handle all my needs. When I recognize Him as the All-Sufficient God, I have confidence that He is able to do anything. It is then that my problems don’t seem so insurmountable. It is then I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. It is then I can get up when I’d rather lie down. It is then I can continue to hold on when I feel like letting go. And it is then I can press on instead of giving up. For God is God who will always provide the necessary grace at the needed time.

I will keep on thanking God for knowing who He is, and that I can get through anything when I hold to Him.

“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty” (Revelation 1:8 ESV).

“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work’ ( 2 Corinthians 9:8).

Thankful, God is our Leader, and Director, Provider and Protector, and a constant Company Keeper.

“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name sake. Even thou I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever” (Psalm 23 ESV).

I will keep on thanking God my Shepherd for all that He does to lead, direct, provide, protect, and keep me in Jesus name, amen. by Hertistine Washington.

Thanking God for His unfailing, never-ending, and ever abiding love.

God’s love will never fail.

God’s love will never end.

God’s love is always with us. It has been shed in our hearts.

Walk in His love.

Let love be your greatest motivation.

“Give thanks to the LORD for he is good. For his steadfast love endures forever” (Psalm 136:1).

“Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away, as for tongues, they will cease, as for knowledge, it will pass away” (1Corinthians 13:8)

“Let all that you do be done in love” I Corinthians 16:14).

I will keep on thanking God for His great love. Dear Lord, thank you that your love will always be with me, in Jesus name amen. By Hertistine Washington/

Thankful for God’s blessings to our souls despite the pandemic woes and blows; He’s so good… and His love still flows.

Let’s keep on thanking God for His blessings, and be encouraged that no pandemic will ever prevail against His love. Know that it is His love that keeps us, sustains us, and will see us through this critical time. Hold on. Don’t give up. Stay in His Word and live in gratitude; God hasn’t played all His hand yet. Keep looking to Jesus!

“The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple” (Psa. 19:7 ESV).

“Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!” (Psalm 34:8 ESV).

“Give thanks to the God of heaven, for his steadfast love endures forever” (Psalm 136:26 ESV).
