Celebrate Jesus! Day 1

Have you ever experienced a ringing in your ear, not of bells, but words, phrases, or something else? When it kept on ringing, did it cause you to finally stop and listen? Did it may you wonder, why is this ringing continuing? That’s what I asked myself when I was constantly hearing this phrase in my ear, ‘Celebrate Jesus’. Here’s the result after I stopped and paid attention to the ringing in my ear… my spiritual ear: I’ve been inspired to invite you during these next 12 days coming up to Christmas, an opportunity to celebrate Jesus with me. And I hope you will invite someone else.

Yes, you, my friends, are invited to a party to celebrate the birth of Jesus! All are welcome. Just saying, when I go to a party, I go for one reason only… to celebrate. Whether it be a person, thing, or something else, I go with the intention of celebrating, having a good time! What about you? I can guarantee, if you click on for the next 12 days before Christmas, you will not be disappointed. From these next 12 posts, if you haven’t been celebrating Jesus, I pray you will gain a deep desire to begin and continue to celebrate Him throughout your life.

I’m not asking you to bring anything, only yourself and a willing spirit to celebrate Jesus. No worries, I will bring all the content necessary for the party, which is God’s Holy Scripture, which gives us the freedom to celebrate in a way that is pleasing to Him. You can pray, jump, clap, sing or shout. It’s up to you. So, come on, and let’s have a great time! I pray you realize Jesus is worthy of all praise! After all, He is the reason for the season!

Now, to begin, on this Day 1, let us celebrate in scripture that Jesus is Emmanuel, God With Us. Here’s the content:

“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign.

Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,

and shall call his name Immanuel.” Isaiah 7:14, ESV

Now, go for it! Simply pray and meditate on the above scripture. Afterwards, celebrate by first thanking God what the Holy Spirit has revealed to you about Jesus. By doing this, you have arrived at the party and is now in full blown celebration mode. I hope you have a great time celebrating Jesus today! I’d love to hear about the great time you had!

May the blessings of the Lord be with you always!

Merry Christmas!

He’s Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.

He is the Lord, the Blesser, a true, loving, and confident friend.

Biblical Gratitude Gold Nugget: “I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart; I will recount all your wonderful deeds.” Psalm 9:1, ESV

Please pray with me:

Dear Lord, I will remember to be thankful, not only for the Thanksgiving Day,

But that God has been gracious to me in every way.

I will remember to be thankful, not only for my possessions,

But also for the things I’ve learned through many life’s lessons.

I will remember to be thankful, not only for the food I eat,

But that Jesus is the reason my heart maintains every beat, in His name, amen.

May the blessings of the Lord be with you always!

What’s Your Choice?

Keeponthanking.com welcomes you back! I hope you’ve had a great summer. To began this fall season, I want to ask the question: What’s your choice? That said, I hope you made good choices this summer and will continue on through the fall season.

On occasion, we’ve heard the phrase, “The choice is yours.” Well, how nice is that, to be given a choice! I have a choice right now to write this post or not. I thank God I have this choice because, I love to freely share inspirations that can make a positive impact in other’s lives.

Everyday we wake up, we are given choices. A choice of what to put on… how short or how long. How loose or how tight, hoping to get that garment to feel just right. We have the choice to eat at home or dine out; get a scope of ice cream or to go without. We have the choice of where to go. What direction to take. What to say or not to say. Also, how to say what we say, all in a given day. We have the choice of how we think; positive or negative, good or bad. No matter what, the choice is yours to be happy or sad.

Just to say, we’ve been given unlimited choices everyday. We even have the choice of seeking God throughout the day; His face, guidance, direction, and voice. That said, what’s your choice? I hope to encourage you to pay attention to your choices. Some can make the difference between having a good day or a bad day. I hope you’ll agree, by choosing God’s guidance, you’re on your way to making the best choice of the day.

“Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!” I Chronicles 16:11, ESV.

“Who is the man who fears the Lord? Him will he instruct in the way that he shall choose. Psalm 25:12, ESV.

Please pray with me: Dear Lord, I will keep on thanking you for your guidance to make good choices, in Jesus name, amen.

May the blessings of the Lord be with you always!

A Close Call: Almost Sideswiped

As Christians our goal is to always give God the glory. So do you sometimes think about ways you can give Him the glory from your life experiences, good or bad? Sometimes I do. And for me, they can come in unexpected ways or moments. For instance, just like today, I never expected this to happen to me on a quiet easy drive home… I almost got sideswiped! Let me ask you, have you ever been a passenger in a vehicle that almost was sideswiped? Like some, I’ve been a passenger, but never the driver, until today! A terrifying moment, I say the lease.

You may be familiar with the phrase, “Jesus Take the Wheel.” Well, when I was almost sideswiped today, I believe Jesus took my wheel. As my car had to swiftly maneuver into the next lane in order to avoid the oncoming vehicle’s impact, it was quite shocking! I felt as if I was moving in slow motion. I felt I had lost control. But praise be to God, something happened. Miraculously my car quickly swerved out of the oncoming car path, holding steady until the danger was passed. That said, I want to give God all the glory from this experience, because I have no doubt it was He who was covering and protecting me, guiding my feeble hands on the wheel. This is why I’m able and so thankful to share this post. This surely was a close call, but all in all, Jesus took the wheel and protected me. Oh, so grateful!

“The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.” Psalm 121:8 ESV

Please pray with me: Dear Lord, I will keep on thanking you for your guidance and protection as I come and go, in Jesus name, amen.

May the blessings of the Lord be with you always!

Trust God

Is it as simple as the Bible say, to trust God? And, yes, sometimes we struggle with this. Some may think it is not so simple to trust God because of what they’re going through seems insurmountable. But let me encourage us to keep on trusting God. For His Holy Word is admonishing us all to do just that. He is faithful. Some may ask, do you mean to trust a God that we can’t see? Trust a God who works in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform? Trust a God whose ways are not like our ways and whose thoughts are not like our thoughts? Trust a God that does things His way? I say to you, by all means, this is the God the Holy Bible is calling us to put all our trust in. The one and only True and Living God.

No matter what we see and hear, know that God knows. Trust God to do what we can’t do. Trust God to see what we can’t see. Trust God to go where we can’t go. Trust God to know what we don’t know. Trust God to be where we can’t be. Trust God to fix what we can’t fix. Let us put all our trust in Him and see what a Mighty God, He is!

“Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.” Isaiah 26:4 (ESV).

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding…” Proverbs 3:5 (ESV)

Please pray with me: Dear Lord, I will keep on thanking you and trusting in you, in Jesus name, amen.

May the blessings of the Lord be with you always!

It’s So Good to Be Free!

Happy 4th of July to all. Just wanted to share a simple thought that rose in my spirit this morning, it’s so good to be free! Like a bird caught in a bush and finally finding it’s way to freedom can appreciate the ability to fly again, we too can appreciate the freedom that being ‘set free’ brings. When we couldn’t free ourselves, this is what Jesus did for all. He set us free from the entanglement of the bush of sin. He set us free, enabling us to fly again. Now… we are free to love and serve one another. So please join me and say, “It’s so good to be free.” Thank you Jesus for freeing me. Free to come, free to go, and free to come and go, again, in love and service to for you.

“For you were called to freedom, brothers. only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” Galatians 5:13.

Please pray with me: Dear Lord, I will keep on thanking you for the freedom I have in Christ, in your name, amen.

May the blessings of the Lord be with you always! Have a safe and Happy 4th of July!

God Is With Us

As you may well know, there are many incidents that happen to us throughout our lives, even everyday; some good, some we think not so good. From them we may not see God in everyone, but sometimes He will make His presence so obvious, we can’t help be see Him. Here’s an incident I recently witnessed that might encourage your heart to know that God is always there, whether we see Him or not.

I was with a friend who, after returning to her car, it wouldn’t start up. She then called her roadside service. While waiting for their arrival, several people stopped by to lend a helping hand, as I also was attempting to do. All in good faith, one said, “That battery is dead.” He said this because my friend made known she’s had the battery for some time now.

Just saying (all glory to God), my friend and I began praying against the proclaimed dead state of the battery! Shortly after, another friend stopped by and used her portable battery charger to help start the car. Praise God, the battery started up! But that’s not the end of the story! My friend thought she should still wait for her roadside service since they were already en route.

On their arrival the initial examination was the car did need a new battery. But as the car kept running without the portable charger attached, and now continuing to run without the roadside serviceman’s charger attached, he said something to the effect of… “This battery is not dead, it’s alive.” Just saying, hearing those words, I immediately thought of Jesus, our Risen Lord! There is nothing impossible with Him! He’s very much alive to intervene in our lives.

Thankful, my friend did not need another battery at this time after all. After thanking the serviceman for his prompt arrival and examination, we asked what was his name. He said, Emmanuel! Well now, all who know Christ as their personal Savior, do know something about the meaning of that name, don’t we! “God is with us!”

After following my friend home, a song came over my car radio repeating these words, “How Can You Not See God!” I tell you, I thanked God for being with my friend in that incident and seeing her safely home. I pray you recognize His presence today. Be assured, He is always with us. Hallelujah!

“Fear not, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” Isaiah 41:10

Please pray with me: Dear Lord, I will keep on thanking you for your presence and intervention in my life, in Jesus name, amen.

May the blessings of the Lord be with you always!

An Easter Rap: Jesus is Risen as He Said

Wake up you people, get outta yo bed!

Jesus is RISEN, as He said!

Just raise yo hand in grateful praise.

And shout for joy, all of yo days!

Yes, Jesus is RISEN, as He said!

For you, for me,

and Eve-ry-bod-y.

That’s why He died,

and rose again.

And He’s coming back;

No one knows when.

So look around, and what do you see?

An empty tomb, as written it would be!

Yes, Jesus is RISEN, as He said.

He’s truly alive and definitely not dead!

“He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise.” Luke 24:6-7

Please pray with me: Dear Lord, I will keep on thanking you that you rose from the dead, in Jesus name, amen.

May the blessings of the Lord be with you always!
