Child of Light

20170508_074450Whatever age, if you’re in Christ, you are a child of light. That Light is Christ. Jesus came, saved, and brought us out of darkness into His marvelous light. He shines through us; now we can reflect Him. He said, “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works, and glory your Father which is in heaven.” Wherever we go let us shine for Him, leaving a prism of light.

Child of Light, that’s who you are, with a goal to uplift and illuminate hearts both near and far. In a world of frustration, share in Christ your adoration with someone who may be in need of the joy of His salvation. Be a light to all: the down and out, misguided, confused, sad, lonely, and abused. He said, “In His light, we shall see light.” Help others to see that they too can be, a Child of Light.

“You are all the children of the light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.”  I Thessalonian 5:5 KJV

Beware of Trade Love

20170314_131942

Thanking God for His Unconditional Love

Trade Love. You’ve heard of it. It has been around for such a long time. It’s based on condition: I’ll love you “if” you love me. I only give to you “because” you give to me. I’ll call you “if “you call me. It’s your time to do something. Beware. Trade love comes with an unseen price tag.

Trade loving is loving like “I” love; loving according to the flesh, not according to the Spirit. “I ” bought the lunch this time. Now it’s “your” time; and I’m not going to buy lunch again until “you” do. That’s trade love. It’s about what you can do for me. It tends to hold what started out to be a genuine and loving relationship hostage. It’s attitude is based on “if you do,” not genuine love. Don’t get caught up in trade love. Know that your love will fade, if you use it to trade.

Thank God for the love of Christ. It’s not trade love. His love is unconditional  He still loves us whether we love Him or not. No matter how we treat Him, He won’t trade His love with us. Because of His love, we have everything (life, food, clothe, shelter, etc.). He’s constantly calling us to come to Him, even when we walk away. He loves us freely, never holding us hostage. God’s attitude is to first love and keep on loving. God is love.

“This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.” John 15:12  KJV

“And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting of Christ.” 2 Thessalonians 3:5  KJV

“Do to others as you would have them do to you.” Luke 6:31 KJV

Prison Break (part 1)

Have you had your break today? I’m not talking about the break we look forward to on our jobs to rest, snack, and be refreshed. Nor am I talking about your “Big Break,” that opportunity to break out into the field of your long awaited passion. Neither am I speaking of  a “time-out” break. I’m referring to a “Prison Break.” Have you had a break today?

Have you had a break from the prison of hate? Have you had a break from the jail of jealousy, and from the gate of gossip? Have you had a break from the chains of complaining and condemning? Lastly, have you had a break from the bars of bitterness?

If you desire a break today, ask God for help. He desires to set you free. Continue to pray, pray, and pray some more. He will deploy His angel to release you from your prison door.

‘And behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.”  Acts 12:7  KJV

PRISON BREAK (Part 2)

Since I’ve been released, I’m no longer the same;  I had my break in Jesus name. Like Peter, I was in prison, in jail, and behind the gate, but God sent His angel and gave me a prison break.

He broke my chains, and opened my jailhouse door, while I was sleeping bound on the floor. All in all, just the same, He came, entered my heart, and made that change.

I was released; loosed from my sin, guilt, pain, and shame. So grateful to God in Jesus name. I thank God it wasn’t too late, that I repented in time for my prison break.

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32  KJV

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”  John 8:36 KJV

“In View of This”

20170419_094621 (1)At times you may not see me; nor I, you. But God always has us in His view. He continually sees us. No matter how big. No matter how small. We are never out of His view, at all.

It makes no difference how low or how high. He’s able to see us under His great blue sky. It’s comforting to know we’re never out of His sight, that we’re always in His view day or night.

He’s constantly aware of our goings and comings; even our steal-away moments. He’s mindful of our inward thoughts and our outward actions; where we go, and what we do. Be encouraged my sisters and brothers, in light of this, God has us in His view.

Since God can see and protect a tiny humming-bird sitting high on a wire, remember He sees you, no matter what’s “your” view.

The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.”  Psalm 34:15 KJV

“Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?”  Matthew 6:26 KJV

Easter Gold

Thank God for Getting Up!

Many of us are buying, dying, and hiding eggs during this Eastertime. Yes, we all have fun watching our children seek for the many colorful eggs. However, I encourage you today to let them know seeking Jesus is a much better find.

Thanking God, through Jesus’ Blood, He bought and paid the price for our salvation. He didn’t “dye” us, but “died” for us. He didn’t “hide” from sin, shame, suffering, nor pain, but “hid” our life with Him in God, one of the same.

Grateful He didn’t “hop” from here or there. He was lead from judgement hall to judgement hall; carried His cross to Calvary Hill; spat on, whipped, pierced in His side, nailed in His hands, and on the Cross He died. Then, after three days, He rose again to save our soul!

In honor of our Risen Lord, let’s be bold and celebrate this season by praising Him with some Easter Gold! He rose! He rose! He rose!

“He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise.” Luke 24″6-7  ESV
