What’s Your Aim?

Hebrews-11-6

“So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please Him” (2 Corinthians 5:9 ESV). Have you ever been asked the question, what’s your aim? It is a great question every Christian should know the answer to. To ask this question might mean, what’s your goal, intention, dream, wish, purpose in doing what you do? Our ultimate aim should be to please God. Is this your aim today… to please Him?

Our God is so loving and generous, He allows us to do many things that please ourselves. We spend time with friends and family, go on trips, take vacations, shop, etc. Even in these special times we should seek ways of pleasing Him. Let’s pray to make pleasing God our ultimate priority in every endeavor: meditation, conversation, relationship, disagreement, disappointment, even in our observation. Let us stop, look, listen, and seek ways of pleasing Him with faith through Christ.

“When a man’s ways please the LORD, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him” (Proverbs 16:17 ESV).

In God, I will keep on thanking Him for bringing to our attention that our ultimate aim should be to please Him in everything. Lord, thank you for forgiving us of those times we sought to please ourselves without acknowledging you.  By Hertistine Washington /  keeponthanking.com
