In a grocery store, standing in a long line, I looked to the heavens and silently shouted’ “My God, it’s so hard to wait!” Have you ever thought why that is? Physically speaking, one of the answers I came up is, selfishness; I want what I want, right now! I have no time to wait! That’s kind of selfish, wouldn’t you say? You go to the bank, there is a line. In traffic, there is a line. Oh my, you go to the lady’s bathroom, and there it is again, another line! Yet, you must wait. I assure you, if you wait long enough, you will get your turn, patiently or impatiently; it’s up to you.

Spiritually speaking ,waiting impatiently stems from a lack of trust in God. He calls for us to patiently wait; wait on His timing, and don’t be anxious or in a hurry. The time is not yet. In one way or another, the revelation, the help, the healing, the answer is coming, if you just wait.

“But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31).

“I waited patiently for the LORD; he inclined to me and heard my cry” (Psalm 40:1).
