“No, never alone; no, never alone” is a stanza to a familiar song. I know it quite well. It reminds me that I am never alone because God is with me. God’s most Holy Word tells me that “God is with us.” What comfort it is in knowing we have constant company; especially during this season as we celebrate the Savior’s birth! Tis the season to be certain God is the faithful comforter, always looking out for us, and is still with us.
The angel told Mary that she would bear a Son, and He shall be called Emmanuel, which means, God with us. We are comforted to know that He is forever here; we are never alone. Though times of hurt, loneliness, and pain are inevitable in this life, God is with us to save, guide, comfort, strengthen, and deliver. Lets be grateful we have the comfort of His ever present presence, and that we can cast all our cares on Him for He cares for us.
“May your unfailing love be my comfort, according to your promise to your servant” (Psalm 119:76).
