I love sharing about Jesus. What about You? I hope this doesn’t read like I’m preaching to the choir. I simply hope to encourage you to redeem the time, while you still can. I’m so thankful I can still witness for Him, about Him, to others on this platform and other forms of social media, despite the pandemic and social distancing. Let me be clear, to witness about Jesus on social media is not saying those who do so think they are more “Holier Than Thou”. Surely those of us who know Jesus as our Personal Savior are fully aware we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God; and it is by His grace that we are saved, and not we ourselves.
If there was ever a time for Christians to keep on witnessing for the Lord, it is now. The pandemic is no excuse not to do so. Being home is no excuse. Being socially distance is no excuse. There is no excuse not to use what’s in our hearts and at our fingertips to encourage others toward Salvation in Christ. He is the answer for the world today. Yet, if you haven’t used social media as an opportunity to share the Good News of Jesus, I pray you’ll join the many who do to make the most of this time.
Think about it, we share pictures of our gains, losses, love ones, ourselves, our thoughts, even our accomplishments. Or just a pretty picture or two :)! And many times we get positive feedback (And yes, we do appreciate reading positive affirmations from others, don’t we?). But have you noticed we often get more ‘Likes’ about ourselves than about Jesus? This shouldn’t be so, but it happens. Yet, I am mindful, this is ‘social media’ and not ‘spiritual media’ platform. But I encourage you to make the most of this time and use social media as a platform to also share Christ. Keep on posting about Him. Someone will click on sooner or later, even if it’s just “one”. Don’t get discouraged. Just remember Jesus is always concerned about that “one”. So should we. I pray we redeem the time.
“For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels” (Luke 9:26 ESV).
“Making the best use of the time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:16 ESV).
I will keep on thanking God that I can be a witness for Him on several platforms. Dear Lord, I thank you that since it’s needful to socially distance myself from people, and it’s not advisable to go from door to door, I can still use my ‘platform to inform’ others that there is Salvation in Jesus. Who knows, Lord, just maybe from this page someone might get saved, in Jesus name, amen. By Hertistine Washington/keeponthanking.com.
