Thankful for the Gift

Last month we were blessed to celebrate another Thanksgiving Holiday. I hope your thankfulness didn’t stop there. Although this beautiful holiday was celebrated with much gratitude, let us be mindful that the spirit of gratefulness still simmers through the air in the hearts of God’s people. We have much to be thankful for; for gratitude is a constant ongoing act of love and appreciation for God and others.

Now here we are in another month when many think about expressing acts of love and appreciation for the gifts they will receive. I want to encourage you that of all the material gifts you may receive this season, I hope you are thankful for The Gift God gave. He gave The Gift of His Son, Jesus; who gave The Gift of His life for the world, providing The Gift of Salvation for all. Let us be thankful for “The Gift” God gave. For those who possess a grateful heart, expressing gratitude doesn’t begin nor end with Thanksgiving Day. Gratitude continues.

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6, ESV).

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16, ESV).

Please pray with me: Dear Lord, I will keep on thanking You for ‘The Gift’ You gave in the person of Jesus Christ, amen. By Hertistine Washington / keeponthanking.com

May the blessings of the Lord be with you today.
