No matter how much we say we know about God, in the midst of our deepest pain and deepest suffering, sometimes we fail to think immediately… ‘God’s got that, too’. During life’s extreme moments, I can surely understand how that thought might not be the first thing which comes to our minds. But somewhere during those intense experiences I pray it will that we might have peace. God promised in His Word, He will “never leave or forsake” us. He is “with us always even until the end of the world,” which means, death couldn’t hold Him; the grave couldn’t possess Him. “He is risen as He said.”
Because Jesus is risen, be encouraged “He won’t put more on us than we can bear…” even in our most difficult times. I encourage you to remind yourself, God’s got that, too! God’s got that worry, that hurt, that disappointment, and that problem also; that shame, that situation, that relationship, that grief, that rejection and/or dejection. Remember, Jesus rose from the grave and has ‘all power’ in His hand. He has taken captive and defeated all that wants to overpower us. Believing that God had power to raise Jesus from the dead, be confident He is more than capable to raise us from any situation, and also in that Day. Just look at Jesus; He got up! Therefore, let’s keep on thanking Him and giving Him the glory, for we will also rise. I hope you will rest easy by being assured, God’s got that, too!
“Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.” Hebrews 13: 20-21
Please pray with me: Dear Lord, I will keep on thanking You for defeating death and the grave. And that You have all power in Your hand to take captive and defeat all that wants to overpower me. Thank You, Lord, for the victory, in Jesus name amen. By Hertistine Washington / keeponthanking.com
May the blessings of the Lord be with you always, and Happy Resurrection Day of our Lord!
