Grateful

grateful-rock

Lord, I’m grateful for this day, for placing it in my heart to pray. I’m grateful for your Word to read containing blessings and warnings, indeed. I’m grateful for the stillness of the night, and for the quietness of the morning light.

I’m grateful for Your strength today, walking in your love as you direct my way. I’m grateful to engage with the people I see,  and not hesitate to share Your Gift of Salvation that makes men free.

“Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe” (Hebrews 12:28 ESV)

Something to Thank About From A to Z

coverrealsize-2

Lord, we thank you for waking us this morning, and clothing us in our right mind. We thank you for giving us the ability to move our limbs as strength increased. Thank you for waking our ears to hear and eyes to see. Thank you for maintaining the constant beat of our hearts, and the flow of our breaths.

We realize you are the reason we woke up this morning. You are the reason we opened our eyes. You are the reason our hearts kept beating, and You are the reason we’re still alive.

Thank you for waking us to see another beautiful God designed day. Thank you for assigning something for us to do, learn, share, help, touch, give, and love. Thank you for giving us opportunities to tell others about Jesus, the truth , the life, and the way.

“The Lord GOD has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.” Isaiah 50:4 KJV

I will keep on thanking Him that, everyday my God wakes me both physically and spiritually. God, our Awakener, we say “thank you.” By Hertistine Washington/keeponthanking.com

Greetings

received_537747313253659

“Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me greet you. All the saints greet you, especially those of Caesar’s household” (Philippians 4: 21-22 ESV). Good morning. I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We thank God for greeting us with His love to see 2018.

Everyday as flowers open to greet and welcome the butterflies to it’s nectar, so does our God (much more) greets us with His nectar of love, mercy and grace, never turning away any.

His greetings are never partial and does not change. Neither should ours. As He greets me, He greets you. We are blessed to be welcomed with the continual fill of His love, warmth, comfort, and embrace. Let us model the greeting of our Lord.

Dear Lord, we bless your name. You are marvelous in everything. Help us to love and greet one another as you have greeted us. Help us to use our worship, thanksgiving, and praise as the ultimate greeting to You in Jesus name, amen.

In God, I will keep on thanking Him for welcoming me with His love.  By Hertistine Washington/keeponthanking.com

The Newness of Life

received_536688566692867 (1)

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV). Happy New Year everyone! I thank God for this New Year and the newness it will bring. We all are familiar with the phrase, “Out With the Old; in With the New.” Though it’s a simple phrase, it means different things to different people.

It could be a bit confusing depending on how you look at it. Out with the old… what? In with the new… what? Surly we don’t want to get rid of old landmarks that have enriched our lives and our nation. I’m certain we don’t want to model the destructive new trends we see everyday. So what could we mean “out with the old and in with the new?”  Some may respond, out with the old furnishings; in with the new. Out with the old night club; in with the new. Out with the old hair style; in with the new.

But for those who have accepted Jesus as Savior, this phrase is very clear. It means just what it says. In Christ, we’re out with the old nature and in with the new. We are no longer craving, or looking for satisfaction from the old worldly kind of joy, love, ambitions and attitudes. We have a new love, joy, hope, mind, attitude, purpose, outlook. We have a new motive. That motive is to glorify and magnify our Lord Jesus.

Dear Lord, help us to model the newness we have in You.

The Peace of God

received_533276963700694

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made know to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4″6-7).

Thanking God for His peace right now. A peace that surpasses all understanding. A  peace that bands worriedness and anxiousness; no intrusions, breakins, or seizing for the enemy. Just peace; God’s peace.

His peace alone is soothing, with the absence of sulking; calming, with no sense of alarming; tranquil, without being tranquilizing; and relaxing, ours for the asking. As we approach the New Year, know that God’s peace is still here.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives so I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid” (John 14:27 ESV)

In God, I will keep on thanking Him for His continuing peace.  By Hertistine Washington/keeponthanking.com

Merry Christmas Everybody!

Thanking God, Immanuel is not a man. He’s God.

Thanking God, His love lifted me, sifted me, then gifted me.

Thanking God, His love recued me without ridiculing me.

Thanking God, His love rebirthed me without hurting me.

Thanking God, I can say all is well because of Immanuel.

Immanuel, Is His Name

immanuel03

Oh, what a beautiful name, Immanuel! Whose name is it? It’s Jesus of Nazareth. He’s here with us, to save our soul. He’s here with us, His story to unfold. He brings salvation to all the land. We shout, Immanuel, the Savior of man!

Oh, what a wonderful name, Immanuel! Whose name is it? It’s Jesus of Nazareth. Just read His Word, and you will know just how much He loves us so. He heals the sick and raises the dead. He never failed in what He said.

Oh, what an amazing name, Immanuel! Whose name is it? It’s Jesus of Nazareth. I’m so glad I can tell how He came to provide salvation from hell.

“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel” (Isaiah 7:14 ESV).

Knee Bent On Praying

33494-praying-on-knees-woman-1200.1200w.tn

“And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart” (Luke 18:1 ESV). Are you knee bent on praying? Not merely positioned on your knees, but determined in the spirit of a lowly mind? Not a proud prayer, but a humble prayer. Are you relentless in praying no matter what comes your way? Will you keep praying until something happens? Don’t stop. Don’t give up. For through prayer, God has a way of shaking things up and working things out. Continue to pray with thanksgiving and leave your cares in the hand of the Lord.

Dear Lord, we  thank You. We are aware that You hear our faintest prayer in any position, anywhere. Please help us to be knee bent on praying, persevering to seek You in prayer. Help us to continue firmly in spite of opposition, always with a humble attitude of mind and spirit. Now we thank You as we approach Your throne of grace, in Jesus name, amen.

“Rejoice always, Pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 ESV).

In God, I will keep on thanking Him for the privilege of prayer.  By Hertistine Washington/keeponthanking.com”
