Knee Bent On Praying

“And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart” (Luke 18:1 ESV). Are you knee bent on praying? Not merely positioned on your knees, but determined in the spirit of a lowly mind? Not a proud prayer, but a humble prayer. Are you relentless in praying no matter what comes your way? Will you keep praying until something happens? Don’t stop. Don’t give up. For through prayer, God has a way of shaking things up and working things out. Continue to pray with thanksgiving and leave your cares in the hand of the Lord.

Dear Lord, we  thank You. We are aware that You hear our faintest prayer in any position, anywhere. Please help us to be knee bent on praying, persevering to seek You in prayer. Help us to continue firmly in spite of opposition, always with a humble attitude of mind and spirit. Now we thank You as we approach Your throne of grace, in Jesus name, amen.

“Rejoice always, Pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 ESV).

In God, I will keep on thanking Him for the privilege of prayer.  By Hertistine Washington/keeponthanking.com”

My Place

woman-570883_960_720

I’m not referring to my home, my position, my pad, nor my order. I’m referring to my space in time, in Him.  It “is” mine. My space is my place. God didn’t forget me. He gave a place in this space, this moment, just for me. Where I am placed, I am.

In my spirit is my place. My place is where I “be” myself. You cannot enter. You cannot see. You cannot participate. It’s my place to “be;” in my mind, in my heart, in my soul, in my spirit… my place where I’m so free!

My place is where I’m girdled, unafraid; where I truly reside on the inside; where God and I commune, fellowship, talk things over, in secret. My place is a place of comfort, beauty, and rest, though at times I may experience heart-ship and distress. But nevertheless, it’s my place, on the inside of me, where no one knows and no one can see.

My place is my secret thoughts, which can never be perceived unless I open my door, and invite you in. I go to work… in my place. I go to church… in my place. I go home… in my place. I eat (sometimes alone)… in my place. I lie down on my bed… in my place. I rise… in my place! Wherever I “be,” no visitors, no strangers, no guests. My place is just enough space for me; made only for me.

Wherever I am. Wherever I be. There will always be a place just for me, in God.

“In Him we live and move and have our being”; {a} Acts 17:28 ESV

Seek, Seek

20171208_084427

Already, because of the upcoming holiday season many are busy shopping. They have begun the process of seeking for something. Some are seeking for toys for their children; some already under the Christmas tree. Others are seeking for gifts for friends, love ones, and acquaintances. Yet, others are seeking for something that will simply appeal to their eyes. The Bible tells us ‘the eyes are never satisfied.” So be are careful little eyes what you seek.

Of course, there is no harm in buying nice things for others that will add joy and happiness to someone’s life. Just don’t forget to seek Jesus, first. There are great blessings in finding Him. Salvation will be yours. Joy will come. Love will overflow. Peace will soothe your heart and mind.

Thanking God that seeking Jesus doesn’t mean He’s in hiding. Quite the contrary, His Holy Word tells us to “seek Him while He may be found.” Be grateful, He’s here today, and ever-present with  us.  He’s the only gift for Christmas that’s not on sale; He’s free.

“But seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6:33 ESV).

Just a Moment

20161101_142826_Burst01

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;” (2 Corinthians 4:17). No one can predict what a day will bring. Nor can they say what a moment will contain. God is in control of moments and days. We live day by day and moment by moment. Some moments can be so precious. Others may be a bit problematic or even painful. Remember God said, “this too shall pass.”Whether precious or not, they are there for a reason, perhaps even a season. Just the same, it’s just a moment.

Whatever moment we’re in, count it all joy. Embrace the moment. Feel the moment. Face what it brings, then ask God to help you to move on. Look to Him for revelation. Ask Him to show you the hidden beauty in that moment. No matter what moment we’re in, there’s  always something to be thankful for. On God’s time table, it’s really “just a moment” in time.

In God, I will keep on thanking Him in the moment.  By Hertistine Washington/keeponthanking.com

This will conclude our series for the month of November, thanking God for who He is from A to Z,  according to Scripture. Our standard GGN’s will begin Monday, December 4, 2017, as God gives me inspiration from His Holy Word.

  • Thanking God because He is The Unsearchable God. “Hast thou not know? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.” Isaiah 40:28
  • Thanking God because He is our Victor. “O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvelous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.” Psalm 98:1
  • Thanking God because He is The Word, : In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1
  • Thanking God because He is The X-ray Of Life. “Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.” Hebrews 4:14
  • Thanking God because He is our Yoke Releaser. “For now I will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder.” Nahum 1:13
  • Thanking God because He is our Zest For Living. “Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” Titus 2:14

We Can Make It

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you” (Isaiah 43:2 ESV). What a wonderful promise it is to know God is with us through everything. Whatever we’re going through, we can make it in Christ. Let’s be thankful and encouraged. God is with us.

He is with us as we go through the rivers of life, and as we stand on rocky trails. Stand in faith believing we can make it if we keep leaning and depending on Him. No need to worry. He’s bigger and greater than anything we can imagine.

In God, I will keep on thanking Him for always being with me.  By Hertistine Washington/keeponthanking.com

Thanking God for who He is according to Scripture:

  • Thanking God for being our Possessor. “The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old” (Proverb 8:22).
  • Thanking God for being our Qualifier. “Giving thanks to the Father, which hath made us meet to e partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light’ (Colossians 1:12).
  • Thanking God for being our Redeemer. “For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth” (Job 19:25).
  • Thanking God for being our Savior. “For unto us is born this day in the city of David, a Savior, which is Christ the Lord” (Luke2:11).
  • Thanking God for being our Teacher. “I will instruct you and teach you in the way thou shall go; I will guide you with mine eye” (Psalm 32:8).
